    Eugene Fitzgerald

    Dr. Fitzgerald is the Merton C. Flemings SMA Professor of Materials Engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, as well as being Visiting Professor of Management and Visiting Professor of Engineering at Cornell University. He received a BS degree in Materials Science and Engineering in 1985 from MIT, and later earned a PhD in the same discipline from in 1989 from Cornell University. Dr. Fitzgerald performed research at AT&T Bell Laboratories in the areas of novel materials and devices from 1988 to 1994. In 1999, he became an SMA fellow in the Singapore-MIT Alliance working in research and development collaboration with the country of Singapore for nearly a decade.

    Hinchman’s career has focused on municipal water since working with CH2M Hill in 1995. He had numerous roles at GE including Water Commercialization Leader with GE Automation Services (where he was responsible for winning over $75mm for over 500 projects), Global Industry Manager (where he focused on solving key customer challenges and creating new partnerships), and Global Marketing Director – Infrastructure (where he lead the team for the strategic marketing of GE Intelligent Platforms’ Energy, Oil & Gas, and Water offerings). Hinchman founded a clean water movement called Our Water Counts (, which has won many awards around its use of social networking to inform and drive people to action. Hinchman is a frequent speaker at industry events and in 2012 was named the Executive Chair of the Water Innovations Alliance to lead the efforts to address America’s water infrastructure issues.

    Rodrigo Ma works as a R&D staff in TWI’s Cambridge laboratory. He graduated from Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) in 2012 with a degree in Chemical Engineering. His background includes internships for CIFARMA, a leading pharmaceutical company in Peru, performing quality control testing. He also worked under Dr. Diran Apelian as an Undergraduate Research Assistant for the Metal Processing Institute (MPI) at WPI, where he performed extensive research characterizing aluminum-based materials and improving their production.

After graduation, he worked for Media Ventures Productions in Los Angeles and helped produce the movie “Waiting.” In 2005, he relocated to Miami and worked for the Miami Marketing Group where he specialized in event marketing and corporate sponsorship. In 2006, he moved to New York and served as a Sales Manager and Marketing Director for Oxia, a company that provided personalized oxygen systems. Jarrett is also a photographer and videographer.

Summit is generally recognized as the oldest and longest water investor globally in both equities and water rights. Mr. Brennan was previously the Founding Partner of Brennan Investment Partners, which served as portfolio manager and sub-advisor to the Kinetics Water Infrastructure Fund (KWINX) since its inception in June 2007. The Fund received Morningstar’s highest rating of five stars under Mr. Brennan’s tenure through July 2010. Presently the Co-CIO & Managing Director of Ultra Capital which invests in small to mid-size sustainable real asset projects with an emphasis on water, agriculture, waste and energy. Prior, he was Portfolio Manager of the Praetor Global Water Equities Fund in Luxemburg.

A recently made infomercial with the well known infomercial company, Guthy Renker, just recently began to air with great success. She is an expert in direct to consumer marketing with her experiences at QVC and Guthy Renker. Dr. Denese regularly appears on television and is interviewed in the media as she is regarded to be a true authority in anti aging medicine and anti aging skin care.

    Dr. Hubert L. Fleming is a leading authority in the water and utilities sector, with nearly 30 years of experience. He is currently the Global Director for Hatch Water and a member of its Board of Directors. Hatch Water is an international engineering/consulting firm with expertise in large scale water systems. Dr. Fleming was formerly Sr. Vice President of O’Brien & Gere, a member of the Board of Directors for Severn Trent Water Purification Inc., and President of Crane Environmental Inc. From 1988 – 1996, Dr. Fleming was the Vice President of Zenon Environmental Inc.

He served as the CEO of The Sports Authority Inc. form September 1998 to 2003. From 1994 to October 1997, he served as the President, COO and CEO of Staples Inc. Mr. Hanaka serves as a Member of the Executive Advisory Board at WSG Partners, LLC and the Executive Advisory Board at Crestar Partners. He was also responsible for orchestrating the single largest day of online fundraising in the history of politics – $10mm.

He has designed products that span applications from open heart surgery to NASA’s space shuttle. His proficiency in Quality Systems is from experience implementing FDA’s cGMP’s, ISO, Philip Crosby Quality Management, and ITW’s 80/20. His international experience managing operations and subcontractors around the world, including a three year expatriate assignment in Europe, lends to his ability to harness best practices.
